The Social Media Maze, a Crowded Digital City
A city of screens, a maze of digital thought,
Our minds trapped in a virtual world, fraught.
Its towering algorithms, dictating what we see,
Its busy feeds, controlling reality.
Like furtive fawns, we wander this maze,
Our thoughts and beliefs, by social media swayed.
Its hold so tight, its grip so strong,
Our freedoms curtailed, where we do not belong.
But in this digital city, we have a voice,
To challenge its norms, to make our own choice.
To break free from its hold, to find the truth,
To seek out our own path, and shed its proof.
For just like the city, we can shape our own way,
We can rise above it, and find the light of day.
We can cast off its chains, that bind us so tight,
And break free from its grasp, to find our own sight.
Voltaire would see this digital realm, with disdain,
Its tyranny and control, driving us insane.
Its psychological warfare, exploiting our fears,
Coercive persuasion, wiping away our tears.
We’re indoctrinated, through endless feeds,
Our minds captive, to the algorithms we need.
He would call for change, for a world that’s just,
Where our minds are free, and our beliefs are trust.
So let us not be ruled, by these screens of deceit,
Let us stand tall, our thoughts and beliefs so neat.
Let us embrace life, with open hearts and eyes,
And find the freedom, that lies within our mind’s skies.
