Eulogy Poem

Wendy Martin

Oh Wendy, fair and gentle soul so bright,
A ray of sunshine in a world of woe.
With kindness, love, and hospitality, light
The path of those around her to and fro.

My mother, who discovered her in need,
Found solace in her words, so warm and kind.
Their bond, a treasure most precious indeed,
A friendship, in life’s storms, was hard to find.

And when at last I met her, on that day,
Wendy greeted me, a stranger, like a kin.
Her joy, her love, her laughter, took away
All doubts and fears, a comfort to begin.

Though life dealt her a blow, a loss so deep,
Wendy remained, a shining star to keep.

Wendy, thou hast left a mark on all,
A grace that lives, forever to recall.
