Forth Night in Edwards Gardens
By Ed. Scholz
Feb 5, 2023 Part 4
In winter’s chill, in Edward’s gardens fair,
Two maidens with raven hair did share,
A warm embrace, beside a waterfall,
That watched and listened, one and all.
Their bodies, lithe and full of grace,
Embraced in love and tender space,
With laughter ringing, clear and bright,
As water roared with might.
The falls, with frozen spray, descended,
And mist, like snowflakes, there attended.
But in that pool, calm and still,
The maidens’ love and joy fulfilled.
The water, like a silent witness,
Observed their love with gentle kindness,
And the waterfall, with voice so grand,
Sang songs of love, with spray so bland.
With beauty such as this on earth,
Who needs to seek for heaven’s mirth?
For in Edward’s gardens, all is well,
With love and laughter ringing swell.
