But it is not just in the past that such trickery has existed. In this age of technology, scammers use the internet to sell fake gold, with false certifications and high-pressure sales tactics to convince the unsuspecting.

But we must remember, adding fake gold is not just a scam, it is a crime. And even though the methods may change, the age-old deception remains the same.
