Spreading quickly, causing widespread dread
Making people sick, it put them to long in bed.

But now, as time has passed and much has changed
Covid is no longer the main subject framed
In headlines and discussions, it’s no longer the buzz
As new topics and issues now demand just cuz.

Ukraine and China, two nations in strife
Their conflict rising like a balloon to new life
Tensions high, with no end in sight
Leaving many to wonder, what’s wrong and what’s right.

And then there’s the Orange Clown, a strange figure so bold
With antics and antics that never get old
He commands attention, with tweets that he sends
Leaving us to ponder, just where this will end.

And last but not least, the price of chocolate milk
A commodity so sweet, it’s worth more than its ilk
It’s value soaring, as demand continues to grow
Leaving many to ask, just how high will it go bro?

So here we are, a year from the past
With new stories to tell, of things that will last
In this ever-changing world, there’s always something new
With headlines and events that continue to skew.
