What percentage of the world’s current population has written at least one book?

15.169%

We can only guess.

It is difficult to estimate the exact number of different book titles that have been published in the last 40 years as it depend on how you define a “book title” and the data is not consistently collected globally. However, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), approximately 130 million new books are published each year worldwide. That would translate to over 5.2 billion books published in the last 40 years.

However, this is not a comprehensive number, as it does not include self-published books, e-books and books that were not registered with ISBN numbers. Therefore, the real number of different book titles may be much higher.

Assuming that on average on author writes about 10 books we have 520 millions books. 7.888 billion people and thus 15.169%
